Nice to meet you!
My name is Predislava Derugin. You may call me Slava :)
Based in Silicon Valley, I build value and resilience by assessing risks and opportunities, then integrating sustainability principles into your strategy and tactics. Let's do a project! Why organizations hire me
Typically my services are requested by organizations that require sustainability expertise but do not have plans or resources to hire a full-time sustainability team. The benefits of working with me are:
How we work together
- Sustainability expertise
- Strategic and customizable approach
- Objective, external perspective
- Extra horsepower to supplement staff
- Training, education, or motivation for staff
- Just getting it done & bringing about change
I collaborate closely with you and your team to deeply understand your project or program, your objectives, success factors, pain points, resources and stakeholders. Typically, projects involve my conducting research and assessment, after which I work with you to design a strategy and Sustainability Action Plan. Often our partnership extends into project implementation, content development, communications, reports and sustainability education for the team. As your needs require, we may draw on ultra-niche specialties and services from my network of associates and colleagues. Together we optimize the sustainability of your initiatives and build long-term value. My vision
My mission is to work with local governments, organizations, and companies of various stages to co-create a sustainable and resilient world. I envision a world in which everyone can lead a prosperous and dignified life within the boundaries of the Earth's natural resources. Background
I advise businesses, non-profits, and representatives of local governments on a wide spectrum of socio-economic and environmental sustainability issues. I frequently contribute to the various innovation initiatives, including supporting Techstars Startup Weekend in Moscow.
Prior to founding Derugin Consulting, I worked as a startup mentor and Director at Innov8 Global Advisory, supporting an acceleration program for high-tech startups that are preparing to go global. I also worked for over eight years at Stanford University, designing and managing professional development programing for alumni. In a prior life, I worked as a real estate consultant and negotiated over $20 million in sales.
I am a San Francisco Bay Area native and hold a Bachelors Degree from Santa Clara University in philosophy and business, as well as a Masters Degree from Harvard in sustainability.
